ADJUSTMENT INTERVENTION AT THE COMPLEX S. FELICE OF VIA GENOVA FOR THE TRANSFERT OF S. ROSSO NURSERY SCHOOL, Vicenza-VI
The intervention foresees the static adjustment and seismic improvement of the building of the historical building complex S. Felice, composed of properties built at different times. Body "A" (dimensions 10.8x34 m), body "B" (dimensions 8.6x49 m ) connected to each other by an "appendix to a" C "body (dimensions of sides approximately 18 and 19 m with a width of 6.5 m)., without structural joints. The entire building has an underground floor with an irregular floor at an altitude of approximately -2.30 meters from the ground floor, a ground floor raised to about +55 cm from the ground level and a two-pitched roof with an eaves line of 5.40 m from land. The cardinal principle consists in connecting the masonry walls with light steel curbs, having the function of eliminating the horizontal static actions of the wooden pushing roofs and of improving the seismic actions, and performing reinforcements on unverified bending, shear or instability beams due to the simple gravitational loads provided for by current legislation, for the static adaptation of the building.
