SEISMIC ADJUSTMENT K.WOJTYLA MIDDLE SCHOOL AND GYM, Cavarese Santa Croce - PD
The method chosen for the seismic adaptation of the K. Wojtyla middle school of Cavarese Santa Croce, specially developed by the Bisiol Bruno engineering studio, is among the most innovative and economic of the possible intervention solutions. The basic principle consists in operating mainly outside the building, creating 6 perimeter structures with a mixed structure with concrete partitions and steel reticles (bracing towers) having the function of bracing against seismic actions, and carrying out reinforcements only on beams and pillars that have not been checked for bending, shearing or instability due to the simple gravitational loads provided for by the current legislation, for the static improvement of the building.
